தூக்கம்தான் நம் வாழ்வை முழுமையாக்குகிறது.  ஆழ்ந்த  தூக்கம் ஆரோக்கியத்தின் அடிப்படை. தூக்கத்தில்தான் நமது உடல் தனக்குத் தேவையான ஆற்றலைத் திரட்டி, உறுப்புகளைப் புத்துணர்வாக்கி, அடுத்தநாளை எதிர்கொள்ள நம்மைத் தயாராக்குகிறது. சோர்வடைவதால் தூங்குகிறோம் என நினைக்கிறோம். உண்மையில், சோர்வடையாமல் புதுப்பித்துக்கொள்ளவே நாம் உறங்குகிறோம்.

மனதைக் கட்டுப்படுத்தவும், கோபம், துக்கம் ஆகியவற்றைக் குறைக்கவும் இயற்கையாகப் படைக்கப்பட்ட செயலே தூக்கம். இன்றைய கேட்ஜெட்ஸ் உலகில் பலரும் பின்னிரவுகளில்தான் தூங்குகிறார்கள். இளைய தலைமுறையினர் மொபைலிலும் இணையத்திலும்தான் வாழ்க்கையையே நடத்துகின்றனர். இதனால், தூக்கமின்மை பிரச்னை அதிகரித்துள்ளது. தூக்கமின்மையால் பல பாதிப்புகள் வருவதாக மருத்துவர்கள் கூறுகிறார்கள்.  (more…)

உடல் எடையைக் குறைக்க பல்வேறு டயட் முறைகளைப் பின்பற்றுவது ஃபேஷனாக உள்ளது.  உடல் எடை குறைய ஸ்பெஷல் இன்கிரீடியன்ஸ் ஏதேனும் உள்ளதா என்று தேடி அலைபவர்களுக்கு, நம் வீட்டு சமையல் அறையிலேயே அதற்கு தீர்வு உள்ளளது என்பது தெரிவதில்லை. நம் ஊரின் பாரம்பர்ய உணவிலேயே எடையைக் குறைக்கும் ரகசியங்கள் உள்ளன.

MUMBAI: Mumbai Police said they arrested 70 call centre workers on Wednesday on suspicion of tricking American citizens into sending them money by posing as US tax officials.

A total of 772 workers were detained in raids on nine call centres in a Mumbai suburb, a senior police official told Reuters. Seventy were placed under formal arrest, 630 were released pending questioning over the coming days, and 72 were freed without further investigation. (more…)
