The new Triumph Bonneville T100 is likely to get the same engine as that of the Street Twin and the Bonneville T120. The T100 will be powered by a 900cc liquid-cooled, parallel twin engine, which is capable of producing a maximum power of 53 hp at 5,900 rpm and a peak torque of 80 Nm at just 3,230 rpm. The two-wheeler maker will sell the new model with a choice of Standard and Black, just like the T120 already sold in the market.
Suspension, Brake and Frame
The Bonneville T100 is expected to get the tubular steel twin cradle frame and the suspension duties are likely to be performed by KYB 41 mm forks and 120 mm travel at the front and KYB twin shocks at the rear with adjustable preload and 120 mm of travel. In terms of brakes, the British two-wheeler maker will equip the motorcycle with a single 310 mm floating disc with Nissin 2-piston floating calliper at the front and a Single 255 mm disc with Nissin 2-piston floating calliper at the rear wheel.
The T100 will share some of its design and styling cues with the Triumph Thruxton R and has been inspired by the original 1950s Bonneville. Just like the T120, the new T100 will be placed under the Modern Classic category. The multi-functional instrument cluster of the T100 looks classic as it features analogue speedometer, analogue tachometer, odometer, gear position indicator, fuel gauge, range to empty indication, service indicator, clock, 2 tripmeters and average and current fuel consumption display.
Triumph has equipped the new T100 with standard ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), electronic ride-by-wire with different riding modes, traction control, torque-assist clutch, heated handlebars with 3-mode settings and twin-pod with 3D dials. The motorcycle will also get new daytime running lamps, LED rear lamp and an under-seat USB charging socket.
The upcoming Triumph Bonneville T100 will be offered in dual-tone colour combinations, namely; Fusion White with Aegean Blue and New England White with Intense Orange.
The two-wheeler manufacturer has not disclosed the price of the new T100, which will be announced only during the launch. However, we expected that Triumph will price the new Bonneville T100 in the price bracket of Rs 7 to 8 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
