A few months ago, iconic German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz had launched the GLC-Class SUV in India with prices starting from INR 50.70 lakhs (ex-showroom) onwards. This vehicle was brought in to plug the rather large gap that existed between the GLA and GLE-Class SUVs. In an effort to bring the cost of purchase of the vehicle down, Mercedes-Benz India has just launched the made-in-India version of the GLC at INR 47.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). The diesel motor also has a very beefy torque output of 400Nm. Both versions will get the 4Matic all wheel drive system and the 9G-Tronic 9 speed automatic transmission of Mercedes-Benz.
