1. Breakfast at Vinayaka Mylari

Head to Vinayaka Mylari for a traditional, authentic South Indian breakfast. This tiny place has a limited menu, but is well known for its extremely quick service and incredibly delicious food. They start operating at 6:30 am, so you can easily head to the place first thing in the morning, as soon as you land in Mysore.
Try their Masala Dosa, and you might just declare it the best Masala Dosa you have ever had anywhere! Their coconut chutney is also extremely popular.

2. Visit The Chamundi And Nandi Temples

These are two of the most iconic places to see in Mysore, and your trip to the heritage city would be incomplete if you give these a miss. The journey to this destination is absolutely stunning, so keep your eyes outside the windows!
These temples are believed to be extremely powerful, and praying here is supposed to make all of the devotees’ wishes come true.
3. Head To Karanji Lake

Next, head to Karanji Lake for some boating and to visit the butterfly garden and India’s largest aviary here. For Rs. 50, two people can boat around the beautiful lake for half an hour, which is a steal. At the one-of-its kind aviary here, you can look at and snap some exotic birds up close and personal. You can also get to spot some beautiful and rarely found butterflies at the butterfly garden, here.
4. Stop By At The Mysore Palace

The Mysore palace is a stone’s throw away from Karanji Lake, and therefore, should be your next destination. A trip to Mysore without visiting the famous palace cannot be justified! One of the biggest tourist attractions in Mysore, the palace is extremely beautiful and filled with history. This place is best visited under the watchful guidance of a tourist guide.
5. Have Tea At The Green Hotel

By now, you would be absolutely tired and in need of a place where you can relax and get charged up for the evening ahead of you. The Green Hotel is just perfect for this purpose. This place is absolutely relaxing, and their food is delicious to the core.

6. Visit The Brindavan Gardens

If you don’t need to go to your hotel room and take a nap (advisable, considering you need to pack in more adventure later in the evening!), you could visit the Brindavan Gardens, an extremely pretty locale, which makes for some lovely photo-ops. 7. Shop At Kalidasa Road

Next, you must shop like a local at Kalidasa Road – this is where most of the city heads to in the evening. This place has many fine-dine eateries as well as street food joints, departmental stores, and supermarkets to keep you entertained and engrossed.
