“Your face shape tends to reveal your basic personality and your overall approach to life,” says Jean Haner, an expert in face reading and author of The Wisdom of Your Face. While most people don’t have a distinct face shape (you could have a mix of a square and round or oval and diamond-shaped face), some people do have one that you can clearly recognize.​ Here, Haner lays out what the most common face shapes say about you based on her studies in 3,000-year-old face reading techniques derived from Chinese medicine.

Rectangular Face Shape: This shape is squared off at the forehead and chin. People with this type of face shape value logic and are really good thinkers, but they often overthink. They’re usually planners in some way and don’t often talk about their feelings. New Delhi: The homeless and those staying in mud houses can get a loan up to Rs 70,000 from banks and financial institutions at lower rate of interest for building pucca houses, government sources said.

This would be over and above the grant of Rs 1.30 lakh per person to be provided by the Centre under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojan (PMAY) which may be launched in a month’s time, to provide homes to one crore beneficiaries, who either live in mud houses or are homeless. (more…)

The issue of points of interconnection (PoI) between Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, India’s largest telecom operator by subscribers, continues to simmer with Reliance Jio saying that while it welcomes Airtel’s recent offer of providing more interconnections, the quantum needs to be increased.

Reliance Jio had issued similar views on September 15 when it said an understanding with Vodafone India had been reached but that more needs to be done.

Mukesh Ambani-owned, newly-launched Reliance Jio, which had brought up its differences with existing telecom operators when it launched 4G services via Jio on September 5, on Sunday said it “welcomes the decision of Bharti Airtel of providing more POIs. However, the quantum of POIs proposed to be released by Airtel is substantially less than the requirement estimated based on transparent workings shared with Airtel.” (more…)

Karachi is a brown city. It’s not just the arid landscape that dominates it. In part it is the male version of the ubiquitous national dress—salwar-kameez—worn in pastel shades. Mostly, it is the colour of the public and commercial architecture, betraying signs of an economic boom that was aborted by the early 1990s, before monuments of glass and steel came into style.

Nowhere is it more apparent than Karachi’s Jinnah international Airport, the biggest one in the country. It completed its last expansion almost a quarter-century back. And it shows, especially if you have flown in from the swanky new airports in Delhi or Mumbai. (more…)
