The soon-to-be-launched Jaguar F-Pace crossover has been priced at Rs 68.40 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). The bookings have opened but it will arrive here on October 20 and is being offered in four variants across two engine options.The F-Pace is Jaguar’s first crossover and was previewed through the C-X17 concept car which was unveiled and showcased at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. We in India got to see the car earlier this year at the 2016 Auto Expo.  The vehicle carries all of the Leaping Cat’s latest design philosophies and is underpinned by an all-new aluminium intensive monocoque platform.

The F-Pace is being offered across four variants- Pure, Prestige, R-Sport and First Edition. Standard features across all four variants include bi-xenon headlamps, alloy wheels, climate control, electric front seats and touchscreen infotainment system. The top-of-the-line First Edition gets 20-inch alloys, S-body kit, LED headlamps, black leather upholstery, panoramic sunroof, Meridian sound system and configurable mood lighting.

It is being offered with a 2.0-litre and 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel of which the former is offered with the Prestige and Pure variants while the latter is offered with the R-Sport and First Edition models. The 2.0-litre unit produces 177bhp/430Nm while the 3.0-litre unit 296bhp/700Nm. Both are offered only with an eight-speed AT and AWD as standard. With this pricing Jaguar has positioned the F-Pace to take on Mercedes-Benz GLE in both the 250d and 350d variants.
